The second annual soccer camp was another resounding success. We heard a lot of good feedback from parents and kids. Click here to see a slideshow of pictures from the last day of the camp. If you want a copy of one of the pictures, e-mail Kevin.
Thank you to all the sponsors and everyone who came to help out. It wouldn't have been as successful without you. Also, if you weren't there Friday to pick up your camp t-shirt, e-mail Andy to make arrangements to get it.
Remember physicals are mandatory before tryouts. The form can be downloaded by clicking here.
At least until the full season starts where the schedule gets crazy, we expect to have the 8th graders playing on the freshman team practice with us 2-3 times per week. We understand that you may be playing select soccer and we will work with your schedules.
This is honestly what makes the whole program possible. Please help us by volunteering to help in some capacity. Contact Andy to see how you can help. When the Concession and Gate schedules are up please e-mail Kevin to schedule yourself.
Mary Sheanshang negotiated a good deal for us at the Embassy Suites hotel in Lexington for Bluegrass. Bluegrass games for High School will be July 25-26, so we have rooms booked for the 24th/25th. The rooms are $129/night and include a full cooked to order breakfast for all guests & complimentary cocktails & snacks from 5:30 - 7:30 PM daily.
The Block Name is "Bishop Brossart Soccer Team". Call either 1-859-455-5000 or 1-800-embassy. There are a few double/double suites, but the majority are King Suites. The King suite has a living room with a fold out double bed in the sofa.
Conditioning begins June 8th. Seniors will lead the conditioning on Mon/Wed/Fri at 9:00am. It will last roughly an hour. All players of any grade are welcome to join. This is completely optional. This is for those who would prefer to work out with others, instead of being alone. If we can arrange it, we'll be looking at doing weight training on Tue/Thu.
If you have a need for a photographer, especially weddings, senior pictures, children and family portraits, contact my cousin-in-law Karen Minzner. Here is a link to her web site and blog. I've worked with her and she's really good.
If you need any remodeling (kitchens, bathrooms, basements) or construction (decks, additions), please call my son-in-law Justin Rath. His web site has examples of his work, but if you want an even better example, just come see our house. He built it!
