Well ladies, you made history tonight. You were the first team to ever beat Beechwood in soccer. The lady Stangs played a solid game winning 4-0 on goals by Megan Neltner, Alysia Ziegler, Melanie Fleissner and Alanna Van Benschoten. The freshman Lady stangs got the night started with a very convincing 3-0 win over Scott. Abigail Kyle scored two goals on two great crosses from Grace Jennings. The other goal was scored by Amanda Hasl off another Grace Jennings cross.
Varsity, the game Saturday night was the best high school girls game I've ever seen as far as skilled play and hard tackling. That was truly inspiring. It was a great weekend to really kick off this season. If you don't know it already you're good enough to play with and beat anyone in the state. JV, you showed the effort I've wanted from you Sunday, let's continue to do that in every game and every practice the rest of the way. The pictures are up.
The freshman tournament schedule is up. Better be ready to play girls as we start with Notre Dame.
We're up to 18th in the state poll, counting those receiving votes and Bluegrass games, we've played 8 games against teams at the top of the state. We told you we'd challenge you girls this year and you've done great so far. It will only make you better.
Remember that the time listed on the Gate/Concession schedule are the game times. gate workers should show up an hour ahead of game time and concession workers should show up 15 minutes ahead of time.
We've published a tansportation schedule with rules. The link is in the Documents section. Parents, please read it and reply if you can help drive. We'd like to have all transportation set a week before each date.
I'm still working on becoming employed again, so please pass on any leads. If you want me to send a resume to you so you can pass it on, let me know. And thanks again to everyone who has been trying to help me. E-mail Kevin
